About — Open Studio was born from of a personal desire to help new designers, by making portfolio feedback more accessible through 1-to-1 mentoring with a graphic designer working in the industry. It provides students and new graduates an independent resource for receiving portfolio guidance that might otherwise be difficult to find.

How Does It Work? — Open Studio uses 4 milestones to provide portfolio mentorship with timelines set by you. All portfolio reviews are made via video call.

A 45 minute video call to run through your current portfolio and provide advice on ways to refine it.


03 Refinement
Time for you to further develop your portfolio at your own pace.

A follow-up 45 minute video call to review your updated portfolio and advise further if needed.



Why? — Open Studio is a personal project set up to enhance the feedback loop between university and the creative industries. It provides a fresh pair of eyes for those who would like guideance from an unbiased, independant creative source.
